I was hoping to see more "OTHER" types of play at the "V" during this time.
Also, I was a little disappointed with so many $500's and the $1000's. BUT I still think they will draw very well for all the tournaments. |

Query: Are the 8pm tournaments going to run during the Extravaganza? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. Based on table availability, so always the chance it could be cancelled. |

[ QUOTE ] Actually the best tourny in town now for the price is at Binions that month, the structure is amazing - I expect lots of people to pick up on this fact rather fast. [/ QUOTE ] I noticed this as well. Does anyone know if these are one day toruneys? I would love to play the Razz tourney but if they make the final table the next day it would be difficult to make it to the Rio by 5p. [/ QUOTE ] They are all billed to be 1 day tournys. 12 hours is the estimate from what i read. |

Venetian's deep stack events with 300ish players and T6000 and 40 minute rounds were going like 16 hours if no deals were made. The T10000 events were longer.
Seems like if Binions gets a big turnout for their $500 events it could turn into a 22-hour marathon. Get plenty of sleep the night prior and don't wake up before noon for the 2pm start times. |

The last ones that started at noon and such were running as late as 7am the next day. Most were done between 2am and 5am though. |

The horse went to 5:00 or so---
players should be looking at 2:00 am with a finish starting at 4:00 pm the next day------ Last deep stack was VERY VERY GOOD play for the $$-- Not saying this just because I made BANK$$$ |

There is no history with this series since its the first time they are running it, but the estimate is 12 hours for the average tourny. |

Ahh those tourneys look like they are going to run longer. I thought the question was about the Venetian since that's what this thread was about. I read a bit too fast.
12 hours will be reasonable for the NL events though. |

Thanks for the links, fellas. Looking forward to playing a few of these as well.
Seems as though these give a ton more play than the smaller buy-in WSOP events. If you had to choose, would y'all choose these? |

Hell yeah I'd chose either V or Binions tournaments. The value is unbeaten, but you won't have the prize pools of 5k events. These are the more "value" priced touranments this year, and so far looks like the best summer in Vegas for tournaments. Then a month later you have one of my old favorites, the Orleans Open. 10th place in the Stud 8 event for me last year and I hope to be able to play 2 or 3 events here.
