this post is so generic its retarded and thats why you're getting flamed.

the question "should I fold over pairs when facing a raise all in on the flop" is insanely general and the fact that you dont understand the many, many different things that go into the decision probably means you shouldn't be playing 5/10

I don't think I'm getting flamed.

I do understand the many factors that go into the decision.

I'm a consistent winner at 5/10 so I think I'll keep playing it.

The question is not about facing all in raises on the flop.

I was looking for more general theory about the merits of cold calling v folding v raising when facing heat with overpairs on drawy flops in a heads up situation.

Way to go on your heads up challenge, and thanks for posting in this thread to act like a tool.

Chris

This seems to be the only way I get stacked so I guess I've answered my own question. It must be a serious leak.

It most likely means that you're a TAGfish imo.

Maybe in these spots I am, that's what I'm trying to work out. I'm pretty regularly outplaying people pre and post flop though so I don't think I'm playing a cbet and give up, no set no bet, type of normal TAG game at all. In fact it's these types of spots that are the difference between me winning a nice amount and having huge profits. I guess an answer is to be a lot more cautious in these spots than I am.

go through your recent pt database, find the biggest pots you've lost with overpairs on drawy board. then post those hands. posting ~5 specific hands will get you much much better feedback. also just reviewing the biggest pots you've lost and thinking about them and how you could've played them differently will probably improve your game.

also if you are willing to post your screenname there may be players that can give you specific feedback.

I have a serious problem with black aces, gives me the hee bee gee bees, horrendous record in 2007 with them.....

Maybe we should do a sacrificial burning to reverse our mindset when it comes to overpair draws

Good luck though mate

If this is the case, you have other, much bigger, leaks to worry about.
