I think we can all agree that NHL 93 and NHL 94 are the two greatest video games ever created. [/ QUOTE ] I think you're forgetting a little game called Dusty Diamond's all-star softball. |

[ QUOTE ] there is this glitch in NHL 94 (Sega) where nobody can beat me, except this 1 guy in Toronto I found on an NHL 94 channel. /dork out [/ QUOTE ] I know the same glitch... it's called "the move" and it goes like this: ![]() It always works lol, that game is great. [/ QUOTE ] My friends and I called this "the cheapie" and didn't count goals scored that way. |

huh? that move is pretty easy to defend against, and as a result isn't all that effective against anyone halfway decent.
NHL95 for computer blows NHL94 for Genesis out of the water - better graphics, sound, etc., better gameplay, trades possible. I still haven't figured out how to score on breakaways in NHL94, though - KBZ, how'd you play NHL94 online? |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes. what separates good players from great ones is exceptional manual goalie control, b/c any decent player knows all the moves that the computer goalie will let in. [ QUOTE ] KBZ, how'd you play NHL94 online? [/ QUOTE ] emulators. there are some that hook up with servers which allow 2 people to connect directly with each other. I bought a USB Genesis controller, and viola. check out this online league I played in |

ah nice, thanks. since nhl95 for computer doesn't have manual goalie and that's what i grew up on, i never learned how to do it in 94 - i'd prob get my head handed to me.
EDIT - line changes off is a beat. |

In one of the mid-90's EA Sports NHL hockey games they always had centers getting into fights. It was so stupid. But whatever.
Also, in one of those games you'd play the whole season and have like 175 points or whatever with some player and then in the last week some random nobody on Anaheim would surpass you in points. This happened twice. Once it was Bob Corkum who went from like 50 points to 180 in a week to pass me, and another time it was some other player on Anaheim. WTF!? Computer is a sore loser!?!? lol. |

I was the best player I ever knew from my friends/friends of friends, and in that online league I was the 2nd or 3rd best player. Almost everyone would have been the best or 2nd best in my home group of friends. It's a very self selected group of people still determined to play a 13 year old video game. apparently the game is huge in Finland and they have maybe the best players in the world, but b/c of lag/internet problems it's hard to tell. |

In NHL93 for SNES (doesn't work for Sega), about 1/4 times you try a wrap-around the goalie gets stuck on the other side of the net and kinda vibrates there leaving a nice open net.
