Agreed. If your checking the turn because he's soo aggro, then it doesn't make sense for you to want to fold this river.

Also, 40 hands really isn't enough to properly determine aggression stats.

I really like this flop against an overaggressive opponent. The 6 makes a couple of the hands you might be worried about (76, 66) less likely and if he's the type to auto fire the turn if you check its an easy call. When the J hits on the river he might have hit it and is betting for value or he just might be continuing a bluff. Either way you will be ahead here a lot v an overaggressive opponent. You don't really need to work out hand ranges as all they are thinking is "he checked, I can push him off his hand". That's their whole game plan really, call the flop, hope you check the turn so they can take it. I've seen overcards and random crap tons of times when making this call.

with the way you played this hand its a straight forward river call, and I don't like the way you played this hand.

and basing so much on that went to showdown stat with a 40 hand sample is completely ridiculous

With his low WTSD (albeit over a small sample) I don't really see any hands I beat given his line, except for 89/45 perhaps.

[/ QUOTE ]

maybe his WTSD is low because he bets too many hands on the river instead of taking free showdowns? Given that you're not betting your hand, the only way for him not to reach showdown is for him to bet and you fold.... so I really don't understand what point you are trying to make here.

i think your line is fine as long as you snapcall the river.
