I think calling preflop is ok if hes really bad but i dont like calling s.c. even in position. Hes obv aggro and when he 2nd barrels the turn or check raises the turn like hes doing atm it makes it really marginal decision.

in this spot i think i like a call. I dont think you have must FE in this spot or any in fact...

I might want fold equity against any hand that will bluff me off the best hand on the river.

Does someone think that never folding (calling or 3-betting) this hand in this spot with these stacks vs anyone is a leak?

[/ QUOTE ]

at what point?

i would play it most of the time but if i could see folding occasionally w/ a really bad image against a good tight player or something

Ehm does that mean you want a worse hand to fold the turn in case he tries to bluff the river? I don't think shoving the turn with worse hands folding and better hands calling is the best way to play the hand.

i should have worded myself better originally. i figured that there was a pretty decent chance that i had the best hand, so i thought even though i might get blasted off a draw, my best play was to bet the turn and try to take it down there.

also, i dont usually call with this hand preflop, but i had seen the villian doing some seriously retarded stuff on a few other tables and figured that if i hit right he would likely go broke with any piece of the board. about 2 minutes earlier on another table i saw him dump 2 buyins with Q8off after raising and calling a 3bet oop and stacking off on a Q high flop vs a 12/7/1 nit.

well, i called the turn raise, and the river went like so. is this a trivial call? what do you put him on?

also, why do people say fold preflop? i dont often make this call but i dont see how its really that bad of a call against a spewy TAG/LAG.

oh no don't bet the turn

You think he's gonna c/c with a pair of 7s, or are you protecting your hand? from 4 or 5 overs?

River bet is all in right? You have two pair getting better than 3:1. Call.
