Ok, but wait - are you sure you're not scared of bots? FTP did nothing (or nothing much) about keeping the UIGEA at bay; that was indisputably much more harmful to online poker than bots. Yet despite that inaction, you kept playing at FTP. So why in the face of inaction to a problem (bots) that doesn't scare you, do you threaten to leave?

I have a question, though - do you use any kind of software to supplement your play online, like Poker Tracker? If so, is it fair that you can use those softwares against players who are not using them?

[/ QUOTE ]

I am Canadian so I can play at any site including Prima, Microgaming and Party. I put in the bulk of my play between FTP and Stars ever since Nov/Dec of last year. FTP's stance on this "alleged" bot instance made me vomit in my own mouth.

Yes I use PT and PAHUD but these are allowed and are available to everyone. Having software that allows you to make at the very min, automated decisions preflop is not.

I will admit that I find the games at FTP easier that Stars for the same limit but I like to play where I feel comfortable and FTP is not making me very comfortable these days.

Will I ever come back to FTP? Of course I will if and when they take a reasonable course of action and show me that they care about the recreational and legit non botting grinders.

"yes" they are allowed, but if we are going to discuss the question, "are they fair?", then the answer may end up being "no".

PT is expensive, and some people are ignorant of the software. If only 5% of FTP's players are aware of 2+2 (a very popular website), how many players can be aware of PT? Probably a lot less.

I do hope they find a way to keep ahead of the bots because it is just one more reason to not play online.

I left a long time ago...too much drama for me. Whether it be hacked accounts, stolen money or now bots. No point in playing at a shady site like this when you can play on a reputable site like Stars.

I could not agree more. I guess FTP must exude a fishy aroma for so many to put up with all that B/S. It is like getting salmonella from a restaurant, hearing about everyone else getting it, and still eating there because the chicken tastes good. Defies logic.
