[ QUOTE ] Ichiro will get the ball in play and most likely everyone will advance one base safely, which is the point when the score's tied and you need only a single to win the game. [/ QUOTE ] Doesn't Ichiro get a lot of infield singles due to his speed? If so, isn't there a chance that there will be a force play at the plate? [/ QUOTE ] 63 Infield Hits in 2001. |

I should have stated it, but I meant right now, not in their peaks.
Francona? Really? |

[ QUOTE ] Batter: Bonds Pitcher: Clemens Manager: Earl Weaver SB: Rickey Henderson [/ QUOTE ] Are we talking peak or right now? Right now: Batter: Bonds Pitcher: Santana Manager: Francona SB: Crawford Peak: Batter: Bonds Pitcher: Pedro Manager: Earl Weaver SB: Henderson [/ QUOTE ] At this very day and age, I can't go against Reyes for swiping bags. Francona is debatable, but I hardly know managers. As for the rest of your picks, they look pretty legit. |

I could see Weaver as your choice for being extremely inspirational...but his offensive strategy was "sit back and wait for the 3 run homer." Would you want a guy like that managing your live or die game?
Personally I'd take Billy Martin. He's fiery and he's got balls of steel... and he's not afraid to MANUFACTURE runs. |

I'd actually go with Paul Molitor in his prime for base stealing, guy was like 95 percent for three straight years.
