Agree with the call preflop.

Easy fold on the flop - you missed, and odds are (based on the tourney, the level, the bet, etc) villain has an ace and isn't letting it go.

It's hands like these when you do hit that become so valuable, as you can get a lot of chips from a clown with A-rag who won't let go even if it's super-obvious that you have a set / two pair, TPTK, etc.

(also these hands that make these $4/180's so annoying when you get your chips in as a huge favourite and get runner-runnered...)

Okay, so a thought update. When the villain in this hand raise to 4xBB, my immediate thought was AK,99-AA, with more weight on hands like 99-JJ. People don't have a clue how to play these hands postflop so for some reason they like to raise more with them. On the flop, villain bets as I would expect with all of these hands in his range (which admittedly I am behind). However, notice that his flop bet was only t20 bigger than his PF raise. That screamed scared to me. And now I thought, "well, it's not likely that he has an A at all here." I elected to float to see what he does on the turn. His turn check confirms my suspicion. Now what?

I think you're handrange of UTG+1 is pretty right. Seems like jacks or even queens; people are afraid in the early levels to 3XBB with them cause they know they might get alot of callers.

I think a 250-300 bet here would be nice and I have a feeling you did something like that.

I put villain on JJ/QQ/KK I dont know if you cant get him off the hand even if you bet big though. I have tried that many times and I get insta-called most of the time and then I have to kick myself for trying to bluff the idiot.

I think the flop call is allright.
Since he checks turn, he could have a monster, he could just be c-betting the flop, or he could have a weak kicker to his ace. I wouldn't take a shot at it either way. Check behind. As played I would definately check the river, since it seems he's not going anywhere.

So I thought I would kill this thread. Like Gholizad, I put him on JJ-KK by the river. Obviously, I also thought he was capable of folding to a reasonable bet.
