i think i bet fold the turn

i like this much better against a more predictable player.

yea i'm on board with that plan, although if he's aggressive enough to semibluffraise a lot of hands on the turn (and thus probably to bet the turn with most anything when checked to) then I think this is fine.

I doubt we get called by worse very often here (unless he reads it as a semibluff more than a made hand), but it does keep him from seeing the river and gets a decent chunk of change off of him first. Obviously JT has us in trouble, but assuming he doesnt float the flop with a set we should be fine.

Ya basically it comes down to how often you think he's semi bluffing, and you seem to think its a very high % so calling seems fine to me.

Bet/fold is a problem because opponent is too tricky, the line is way too tight IMO.

Checkraise is good but problematic because of stack size. If he calls we are in trouble, It would be the perfect line if we had 15k making the worst case scenario cheaper. It maximises the earn while protecting though.

Against a very tricky and bluffy opponent what do you think of check call, intending to check call the river again (or do a fake blocking bet on the river to induce a raise).

There are a lot of potential scare cards, but that also means he will often bluff again. If ur read on the turn is that air is likely, this will make the most money in good case scenario, and he might be drawning dead.

Not protecting a big but fragile hand in an already big pot is not usually correct but this might be the spot, if ur happy to take that kind of swing at these stakes...

I might be way off here. Thoughts?

that would be my prefered line if this pot was HU, but he called with 2 ppl to act after him which makes air very unlikely.

i think now that my line was fine, i need to protect my hand against a KJ,KT type of hand that has a ton of outs but is probably not calling me, and the pot is big enough to take it down.

anyway, he had JT for the double gutter on the flop and i didnt draw out. just unlucky i guess

Fair enough if you think he has something on the flop though, the hand becomes quiet different, would he not check behind on the turn with most of the range, or is he the kind of guy that still floats even tough he has showdown value?

going to bed now i'll sleep on it

JT is the most likely hand in his range. I think bet/ fold is a much much much better line. Hard for him to raise the turn with something you beat, hard for him to not raise if he's ahead.

You seem like a nice guy but you may be out of your league at those stakes. To consider yourself unlucky rather than to admit you misplayed the hand is bad.

i like this a lot if he knows you know he's been floating you a lot.

he may bet the turn here with a lot of one pair hands intending to call a shove from you, figuring you may be playing back light.

i disagree with people saying you cant get called by worse here

bet folding sucks, this line you take is and should be standard for everyone.

I think I play the turn similarly... maybe leave two pounds behind
