ok ok, i didn't really fold. just wanted to see if this was close at all, because before i called, i remember thinking, "man, i wonder how often he has something other than the nuts." maybe it's a feel thing and you had to be at the table -- we had both been playing very straightforward for over an hour.

I actually like the fold, villain raises with a set on the flop 100% of the time. Villain prob didn't turn two pair..

think the hand through guys

You just can't be that sure,He has essentially what 2.5 to 1, you just can't fold here, you do beat 99 and draws and any hand he didnt play standard. If you told me he always raises the flop with sets than it's not that bad but I still think you should call.

His hand range is screaming straight. Assuming he raises with two pair and sets on the flop the only other part of his range is A6c, which I'm not sure he even raises. As a caveat, I don't think this is a terrible call, I just think you are beat here enough to fold.

I did tighten up my play today, I played 30/26, so a nit I'm not. My contention is that villain does not have a set on the flop, and obvious straight draw hit so I want to fold. The funny thing about this is that I'm sure if the turn made us a straight but put a flush on the board you would say easy fold, but when an obv straight draw hits you don't see it.
