Allow me to attempt a translation. What he is saying is you can support the arts by going to see stuff i.e. live music, theatre, art shows, etc.

can the world really be divided so sharply into these two things?

as for myspace, i don't really like it that much. nothing personal. the search was do-able, but i've stopped using it for the most part.
