Why can't he play AK this way?

[/ QUOTE ]

i guess he can. (i hope he can!) but then on turn is he turning tptk into a bluff? can he really think it's good on this board and with my strong flop check-raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree it turns Ax into a bluff (including Aces-up) and villain is not going to be excited to shove when the turn completed the lone draw.

caide is a donk push turn. given the way you played it I call but wouldn't be too happy about it.

i was the CO in the hand and it played out really weird.

i would prob fold in this hand just because it seemed as though UTG called, hoping I would call too.

if you bet turn, you're committed to calling, but I don't see how AK calls the flop raise and how you're ahead.

but maybe i give people too much credit for having hands?

I would never be able to check/fold this in the heat of the moment, but maybe it is the best play... It still feels awkward though. Id like to see a post that really convinces me.

i think check raising to 120 on the flop would accomplish the exact same thing. as stupid as this is to say, our hand is kind of a bluff with this checkraise, since honestly no worse hand is calling and i doubt any better hand is folding.

So is it better to call flop and lead a blank turn? I guess half the deck is not blank though..
