I really hate your preflop line. It's one of those spots where you are much better off going call-call and capitalizing on keeping your hand a bit deceptive. That 4-bet you made really lets most opponnets play pretty well. They will fold stuff like TT/JJ and push AK and better pairs. Well that's generally what I think here in a 10-20 game. If I played the hand the way you played the hand, I'd be feeling really good about getting in all my money on any flop without an ace. Your question is really silly--why play the hand like this and even think about folding for < 1PSB on the flop. I wouldnt get cute on this flop unless he will try some pathetic bluff here often.

I would probably c/r AI on that flop... letting medium pocket pair put one last bet and maybe feel commited and call in the end

jason, suppose he had just called pre and got this exact flop. do you think qq is strong enough there to call a c-bet of 1/2pbs-1psb on the flop? I like your line of going call call with the qq, but how much does a k on this flop affect his ability to call the villain down?

I chose to check flop, presumably to call a shove. He checked behind.

Turn was an 8. I checked again, and he checked behind again.

River was a 5. Now what?

Considering its bodog you're prob up against K7 and 72. Check fold.

couple thoughts.

when we check river, im assuming it is to c/f because UTG's range is strong and he must put us on either a bluff or a slowplay given the action. QQ is probably the weakest legitimate hand we have here so he cannot be valuebetting anything that we beat. also, he beats all of our bluffs (presumably) so there is no reason to expect him to bluff.

also, i dont see the merit in shoving the second time around preflop. wont we always get called by better and rarely by worse? i would understand it at 100bb effective, but at 160bb it seems somewhat spewy. especially considering BB is squeezing a utg raiser which would (once again presumably) make his range much tighter than usual.

shove preflop

who are BB and UTG (if this is FTP or Stars?)

i think i'd c/f now that this [censored] happened but i really think the best move is shoving preflop when it gets back to you

[/ QUOTE ]

shove preflop? yikes...

i think calling is better than reraising too FWIW, with shoving being the standout worst play.
