Default Annoying verbal conventions

1. I pass a neighbor in the hall "How's it going?"
He responds with "what's up?"

I think this one is about 5 years old or so, and on top of being annoying, it further strips the meaning from an already almost meaningless convention of asking someone how their day is. It's fake, and further degrades the connection that individuals can have to eachother in urban life.

2. This convention has become very widespread in the last 2 years or so, and hasn't even peaked yet IMO. Ask someone a yes or no question, and you'll get 3 or four answers "yea no yeah yeah yeah." ?????????????
What is the "no" doing in there? The permutations of this are almost endless. They can go "no no no yeah" or "yeah yeah yeah no", etc. I catch myself doing this sometimes, and I hate it.
