I still like Sammy. I just don't care about his past transgressions. Also, where's the positive steroid test or one thing that links him to roids aka Balco for Bonds?

I think there's actually some small chance Sosa didn't use. Maybe 5%. Bonds absolutely cheated. But the steroid thing doesn't bother me because I think basically all the good players were and still are roiding up. The thing that's more important is that Sosa comes off as a guy who may or may not be a good guy in the clubhouse, but in any case is still respectful and appreciative toward the fans/media. Bonds comes off as the biggest douchebag in the history of media era baseball.

People think that hitters using steroids makes the most sense.

Most people who take the time to research steroids and their applications understand that pitchers gain from steroids infinitely more than hitters.

As a Cubs fan, I have mixed feelings about Sammy.

I loved him before the 2004 season, then the incident with the corked bat and him basically giving up on his team the final week of the season really left a bad taste in my mouth.

I still get a laugh over his hop and his press conferences, but I'm really not a big fan of Slammin' Sammy anymore.

I'd like to bet you that they don't help pitchers "infinitely."

Seriously though...I could care less if players roid up or not. But if people are going to hate Bonds (and people hated him for roids before the BALCO allegations), I think it is inconsistent to not hate Sosa.

Albeit they both used da drugz and even though Sammy stuck that bat full of cork, I'd 100% of the time root for him over Bonds if they were racing for Aaron's record. I'm a Sam fan and I really hope he pumps out something like 30+ HR this year.

So not only is he probably a steroid user (and an awful liar in front of Congress), but he was caught IN GAME of cheating yet you find it in yourself to forgive him and not Barry Bonds?

[censored] Sammy Sosa. I hope his OBP falls below the Mendoza Line.

[/ QUOTE ]

I never said anything about forgiving one player or the other. Sosa just puts on a much nicer front than Bonds. And don't give me that crap that it's all the media's fault for Bonds having the image (forgetting about steroids for a second) that he does.

You are wrong. Please explain how neuro sytem changes make so much of a difference in pitchers instead of position players.
