I think the issue here is that none of us are really sure if this bill is in the PPA's best interests (considering who they represent), or if the PPA is going to lobby for this bill at all. Have they made a statement regarding HR 2046?

HUH? The phrase 'beggars can't be choosers' comes to mind.

You misunderstood me. The bill is fully in our interests as poker players (and I personally think it's great news)...but is it in the best interests of the PPA, who are working for not only us, but also certain poker sites and other interests?
I would just like to know their stance on this legislation, and what they are doing to support it.

Anyone who's been to their website does. They're very happy about it. Hopefully they'll send out some emails encouraging support.

I paid $20.00 to join the PPA and I received a T-shirt,

It's a nice T shirt -- high quality, doesn't wear out.

Is OP a PPA shill? His first post is a rant about the utility of PPA. (!)

I don't mind if he is, but he should man up and say so.

400,000+ members and counting. That's huge and gets lawmakers' attention. Al Gore trumpeted the fact that he had about as many people signed up with his global warming campaign when he testified recently before Congress.
