Default Re: How do you experts play this hand on flop, turn and river?

yeah with the flat call of the flop raise and the call on the turn you lost your positional advantage, maybe he was trying to exploit that or maybe he had you beat, it was basically a 50/50 as to what you thought.
most of the games ive played he would definately have a set to be re-raising the flop like that, but maybe i just play on tighter tables....
the only 2 pair you can realistically re-raise on the flop is 94, i dont like the 42 re-raise unless he somehow puts you on and overpair with no flush draw.
so if you put him on 2 pair, you had him on 24?? why?

I think he's going to have a pretty wide range on the flop. Sets, 2pairs, combo draws, low wraps, bare nfd, bare top pair, sometimes pure air. He knows it will be very difficult for Troll to continue on this board without a pretty specific hand range.

I fold preflop and play higher limits instead.

Trolleur: calls $236.40 and is all-in
It was a difficult call, but one of those where I thought I was winning 60-70% of the time. Something just didn't seem right with his play. Maybe it was how fast he clicked or that he never tried to trap me, I still don't know but don't want to turn into a calling station

*** SHOW DOWN ***
Shakari11: shows [Ac 3h 3c Jc] (two pair, Nines and Threes)
Trolleur: shows [Qs 8c 9s Kd] (three of a kind, Nines)

OOOOOOOOOO BURNED!!!!

I don't mind your play in this hand, but the river is a seriously tricky situation. To me - assuming your opponent is decent AND thinks you're decent - your turn call shows fairly massive strength. I see it's 3-handed, which probably makes play more aggressive and increases hand values somewhat, but most decent players aren't calling this turn without a 9 to go along with the draw that you called his flop c/r with.

That means it comes down to opponent history and you're read on him (LOLZ STANDARD UNHELPFUL ANSWER!!). Has he shown a propensity to 3-barrell you? Are the dynamics of the game such that he would try and push you off the strength you've shown?

FWIW, I would probably fold the flop unless it was a particularly frisky game, in which case I'd probably push the turn. (Except he's always got 94xx when I push the turn).

My first inclination was to push the turn also, the reason that I didn't was the thought/idea that I was only going to get called if I was beat. And that the only way to make more money was catching a better hand on the river or perhaps him bluffing or betting something like AAxx, KKxx that I was already beating.

I guess I have to do some further analysis on it.
