My previous post refers to software enforced exile. Individual posters can be exiled in the way jurollo describes. I doubt it's worth it though.

It has to be set up per forum. If there is good enough cause Ryan will do this. BBV might be a good candidate. The strat forums, no. if people can't behave in a serious forum, they needn't be here at all.

[/ QUOTE ]

OK, my impression from Ryan (I've asked a few times now) was that this remained an OOT-only policy.

This would be a great way to save good strat posters who just can't help but be trolls in certain forums. Ex: aejones in mtt, yves in bbv, etc. So places like MSNL get to keep their obnoxious trolls who post great msnl strategy, and we don't have to deal with them.

I actually didn't know there was a software enabled way to do this. I would like to propose that this is available in all (or most) of the community forums with fairly high traffic.

El D, OOT, BBV, MTTc, Internet Gambling

This will allow us to keep the strat posters posting.

I will support anything that brings yvesaint back to MSNL and keeps him away from BBV

I would really like to be able to do this in the politics forum, for the same reason. There are some people who are fine strategy, and even OOT and such posters, but just can't help but be giant trolls in politics.

I'd just like to pop in and say I agree with any kind of exiling of Aejones. I think he's one of the worst posters we have(outside of msnl).

FWIW it took him 8 hours or so to totally mock what I was asking him to do so he is exiled from MTTc as of 2:16ET, I would like to do it in the software if possible, but otherwise I will do it manually. I have added the msg I sent him to his notes.

His response to exile:
[ QUOTE ]
lol ok bro great, best of luck to you. i think this is the best result for both of us; i don't want to be part of a community that can't take jokes, and a community that can't take jokes wouldn't want me to be part of it. i think it's great that the software can stop me from posting in one forum, becuase i think that is how it should have been dealt with last time anyways (that is, i cause no trouble anywhere but mttc apparently).

obv the strat forum doesn't want me either, so i'll leave that alone. unforunately, someday you'll realize that money > feelings, and that revelation will be earth shattering to you. i'm really glad that some forums realize that content is so much more important than "zomg my poker ego hurts, ouch"

[/ QUOTE ]

My response (I might have been a little crass, his arrogance just gets to me):
[ QUOTE ]
haha. it has nothing to do with money > ego or feelings dude. It has to do with treating people like a human being, and I sincerely hope one day you realize that. You may very well be a great player, but, you are an [censored] too. One day, you might just mature to the point where you learn how to tactfully take on people, then watch out world! You will be a force to be reckoned with at that point. Best of luck.
