Re: Lamentations from a life long Cleveland fan
[ QUOTE ]
Peterson will at least likely be cheap after his obligatory career ending injury. Quinn will sit on the roster getting millions of dollars and preventing any real attempts to acquire a QB of the future. Peterson is a bad pick, Quinn is a franchise killing pick. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, and Michael Vick isn't below replacement level... Keep drinking the kool-aid. |

Re: Lamentations from a life long Cleveland fan
I'm not sure where this is going, from being from out-of-state, usually Cleveland never crosses my mind in any capacity when it comes to sports achievement nor does a Cleveland team worry me in the slightest in almost any event against my favorite team, save for when there is something glaringly wrong with the spread (e.g., when they were only a 3 point underdog at home versus the Jets last year).

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] As a Philly fan, I feel your pain. But don't go too far. [/ QUOTE ] rotfl. Too bad he can't begin to fathom ours. The Phillies are the losingest team in professional sports history. The Indians actually have an all-time WINNING record. I despise you. [/ QUOTE ] Nothing, and I mean NOTHING comes close to Cleveland's ridiculous sports history when you combine all the teams in the city. The Eagles make the Browns look like a 1-AA team when you compare histories. Sincerely, Someone who lived in Cleveland for 22 years and is still an Indians fan [/ QUOTE ] the fact that philadelphia has had all of its major sports teams in the championship game, some of them several times, in the last 20+ years and has failed to win one sounds worse to me. not only that, they have a hockey team who's been there 3 times and hasn't won it - and been close several other times. |

Re: Lamentations from a life long Cleveland fan
Philadelphia sports since 1983 is almost certainly the most painful stretch for a city, ever.

Re: Lamentations from a life long Cleveland fan
[ QUOTE ]
Buffalo fans are not impressed. [/ QUOTE ] Please. No baseball team, no basketball team causing them pain. The Eagles 2001-2004 run almost matches the Bills by itself. Not close. |

Re: Lamentations from a life long Cleveland fan
Yeah, almost. Last playoff game was the Tennessee game. That was seven years ago. Lest we not forget Ronnie Harmon, that bastard. Lost to Pittsburgh's third stringers to miss the playoffs. I'm not arguing this. I feel no pain for anyone. We can all be bitter together.

Tom,
[ QUOTE ] Philadelphia sports since 1983 is almost certainly the most painful stretch for a city, ever. [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't make the argument that Philly is the most tortured city of all time, because they aren't. |
