I'd second Catch 22 and 1984 as classics
More currently is Sam Harris's "Letter to a Christian Nation" and Tom Wessels' "Myth of a Sustainable Future" edit: the last two were "Important" maybe more than best. |

Im ordering Catch 22, Millenium and Children of Hurin (anyone read it yet?) so far, many of these books can't be found in swedish internetshops for some reason [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

While I enjoy many of the classics, I'm going to steer clear of them and offer you something a bit more contemporary, alhough it's set in medieval times.
Pillars of the Earth I love this book so much that about every two or three years, I reread it, and it's like new again. |
