Default Re: 25NL: River trips and villain confuses me. Help on river?

as played I call river, but i like raising flop to about 8ish.

even hitting trips im not that happy with my hand so i'd probly bet 12ish on turn and try to check river. If he 3bets turn i'd fold, if he check raises turn i fold. if he donks river like this after i raised flop and bet turn i'd call up to 1/3 psb. I dont see much your beating here except an over pair, witch is probably what he has with AhAx or KhKx

All valid arguments.

As for preflop, meh. Usually, I'm mucking ATo here. I just don't usually 3bet it and if I don't 3bet, I usually muck. That said, it was one of those "I have position and he's deep so if I hit big, daddy's gonna get paid" kinda hands. Again, meh. I usually am mucking though, fwiw.

As for the flop, again, I usually raise and had I, the hand plays easier/differently, I get that. Can't really justify my just calling the flop. My bad. I suck

That said, when I raise the turn and he calls, I was a little worried about a made flush, but it just didn't feel like one. Take that fwiw. I did originally plan on pushing the river, but his bet completely froze me. I had ZERO idea wtf he was trying to tell me.

So, as ole Dave said in NLHTAP, confusion leads to calls. So therefore I did just call.

CO had K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (two pair, Tens and Nines) and LOST (-$28.70)
Hero had A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (three of a kind, Tens) and WON (+$26.20)

Bizzare, no? Nonetheless, I now see why villain is an overall pretty solid loser at 25NL.

Thanks for the feedback and I'll muck ATo to a raise now... :sheepish:

Oh it can be at times...but I have a 3.5Million hand database for my levels, so I have some decent numbers on all the regs.

That said, I still am beating it for well over 13PTBB/100 this month. Me likey. Couple that with my coughthirtypercentrbcough, I feel like I'm home

Huh?

It's not all 25NL. Some is 10NL and some is 50NL with a smattering of $1 and $2 when I took some crazy shots last month chasing a particular donkey....
