SNGEGT, haven't used it myself, has a real time thing too. From the FAQ: "PokerStars has informed us that this kind of program is allowed at their site so we do not ever anticipate any problems with PokerStars."

I think I read some Stars statement that as long as the program isn't making the decision it's OK. Obv real time ICM tool telling that shoving ATC is unexploitable in a situation would be almost equal to making a decision but otherwise you'd still have to give the other players ranges to use ICM. I'm not sure if Stars has really looked into real time ICM tho.

1) This type of real-time software should be banned from the sites.

2) I'm not sure banning is technically practical.

3) It doesn't really matter because anyone who has to use it to make decisions is just wasting their time clicking on the program and thinking they're clever when they could be thinking about the game and putting people on better ranges.

4) Are the payout structure and those ranges seriously hardwired into the program? If so, nice work.

I think Slim's line on this is very compeling. Image you've got the perfect tool and you are on the sharkscope leader board and bang the tool no longer works what do you have? Just donkey breath... As a learning tool I can sort of understand it, it's like having the ablity to use bubble trainer in real time and gauge your progress. I "know" that's a good concept but to use it to play is not where you want to live...

I hope Party will ban it, as I think it's going a bit too far tbo. It's one thing to allow odds calculators, but when you get to the stage of having it calculate the EV for each of the actions and then just let the user press the buttons then I consider this a totally unfair advantage. I can't understand why Stars would allow this yet ban data-mining? IMO, a real-time ICM tool is much worse.

I can do instinct ICM better than these donkeys can cheat with it when they get calling ranges wrong.
