guys, its the 1r, 1 add-on. i assume he has already used the rebuy. so losing the hand means you dont get to add-on. that makes a pretty big difference.

Yes, that's obviously the point of the post, and something I've thought about in the past.

It definitely tightens my stealing range close to break, as I can simply add-on for 2k chips.

how does the extra money you're putting in for the add-on effect your equity in the tourney. I'd imagine it's correct to push if you factor in saving yourself an extra buyin if you lose.

personaly i shove and i save my money for another tourney in 5 mins - why would you want to by 2000 chips giving you an M of 10 after the break, and be in the bottom 10-20% of the field, when for the same $10 you can start again on a level playing field??
