Re: Dealers that make you get up and leave
Well, it wasnt for poker but... Theres this BJ dealer that always says "Slow your roll slow your roll" he is so annoying it's unreal. Whenever I see him coming to deal at my table, I just get up and leave.

Re: Dealers that make you get up and leave
Knicknut, basically if someone says a curseword at the table he will say slow your roll, slow your roll. Then he will REPEAT the same things over and over and over, and then repeat them over again. It's so annoying. I wont say which one of course, but it's at a casino in Tunica MS.
PS I just remembered what he says! He always says, "WHO LET THE DOGS OUT, WHOO WHOO WHOO" over and over and over lol. |

Re: Dealers that make you get up and leave
I've had dealers that really pissed me off, but I just stay there and tilt away my money instead of leaving the table (yes, I know this is a leak and I have no discipline). This has only happened 3 times that I can think of:
> Playing $8/$16 LHE, I raised villian's river bet with a board of As,Ks,Qc,Qd,Ts. Villian was deciding how to react and I said, "looks like we're splitting". After the hand, the dealer told me that my hand would be ruled dead if I talked about another hand I was in. I had the FH (obviously), and villian raised me with his flush. > Playing $1/$2 NL, a dealer called my friend an a$$hole after my friend said that he wasn't giving the dealer another tip. > Playing $1/$2 NL, I raised PF and got 2 callers. Old guy at the end of the table complained that he couldn't see my cards (my hands were on them). Dealer told me to keep my hands off my cards. |

[/ QUOTE ] Nothing wrong with asking a player to remove their hands from the cards if they cannot be seen. If a player or dealer can't see them, they have every right to ask you to keep them in view. From Robert's rules: 18. Players must keep their cards in full view. This means above table-level and not past the edge of the table. The cards should not be covered by the hands in a manner to completely conceal them. |

[/ QUOTE ] I have heard this at several casinos - the last one being Harrah's North KC at the table games just ouside the poker room entrace so it was really loud in the poker room Our dealer got done with their down and went to see who was starting this as they were annoyed - they went to look and was going to report back - they came back to the table after a minute saying "you would have thought drunk players were starting that, but no, its another dealer..." |

The thing that irritated me was when he told me to keep my hands off my cards completely. I did not have a card protector handy so that left me at the dealers mercy as I could only protect my cards with some chips. Thinking back on it now, I guess I could have taken off my shoe and used that as a card protector, but that seems pretty excessive. |

Re: Dealers that make you get up and leave
There's a dealer at Foxwoods, "Harsha" I believe, that gives me "incentive" to take extra long cigarette breaks and spend as much time away from the table as possible.
She deals painfully slowly, pausing for at least a second after dealing each card, and she still exposes cards at least two or three times per half hour. She cost me a big pot once when I should have gotten 66 but she flipped one of my cards and I got 63s instead, when I would have clearly been in the hand, hit a set, and ended up with 6s full over 2s full and trip 2s Ace kicker. ARGH. |
