How is this different from your hand not mattering if you are bet/folding?

given your pf rr, I think he fires after your flop check way less often than his normal c-bet frequency.....I think you played fine....but even if his range is as wide as you say, your equity sucks so badly and the pot size is such that a tough player can win this hand from you like, a lot, if he wants to....(but just figure out his tendencies in this type of situation and use it against him next time)....

bc you're putting in 3x the amount of money and arent sure if you are anymore likely to get a fold, esp since if the guy bets full pot with some hands in his range like AxJc or KKc he is never folding to a cr.

I wasn't advocating c/ring here I was just saying that bet/folding instead of c/ring because "Then it doesn't matter what your hand is at all" is terrible logic. It doesn't matter what our hand is either way (because we fold out to further agression in both situations) a c/r is just the same play of a much larger magnitude when our opponent has defined his hand as hit the board. IE it is a million times dumber.

He is not betting 95% of his range here and I think it was a good laydown.
