I don't think any American's really speak any other languages besides English. I'm not really sure why they don't, maybe because the USA is so big. And honestly, my parents and both my grandparents have never even been out of the USA. i'm sure this is the case for many Americans.

I have to disagree with this. I'm from the UK so I'm able to play on both US and non-US sites and I'd say that, yes, there are more better players coming from the US but those that are from Norway/Sweden/Finland AND are good players etc appear to be very strong. Perhaps better than your typical good US player. There's just not as many "good players" as there are in the US. Pound for pound I think the scandi's would be well up there.

Having said that, and apologies to those that are from these countries lol, the French are by far the worst poker playing nation I've encountered. I literally seek out the French. The French are swiftly followed by the Italians IMO.
