Re: Pocket jacks on wrong monotone board.
I just kinda wanna ask people about this hand before the river. Do u always call the flop raise here? How often do u call a bet on blank turn and why or what shifts the decision for u?

Re: Pocket jacks on wrong monotone board.
Well I think I always call a flop bet here, but thats because I think I call way too many flop raises, especially after I bet originally.

Re: Pocket jacks on wrong monotone board.
No you call the flop bet because villain very likely has As or AT or both or a pp with a spade. Heck, he may have a pp without one. You then call a blank turn because nothing has changed.

Do u always call the flop raise here? [/ QUOTE ] I will call unless villain is passive enough to only raise with a K or a flush. [ QUOTE ] How often do u call a bet on blank turn and why or what shifts the decision for u? [/ QUOTE ] If I call flop, I call turn blank. Calling flop and folding turn blank is silly unless you have reads that villain bluff c/r flops and gives up on turns. That is, calling flop and folding blank turn is silly. |

Re: Pocket jacks on wrong monotone board.
Okay, assuming both flop and blank turn is called, what is the plan for a blank river? Are you calling that too because nothing has changed, or do you give someone credit for betting all three streets?

[/ QUOTE ] Someone betting all three streets doesn't mean that he doesn't have a T or even worse. I still call river. Calling down and then folding to one bet when you have a chance to win a fair size pot is a bad strategy. I think if you don't fold on the flop you got to see showdown when blanks come, otherwise fold the flop. |
