Re: Post your favorite live tells here
When either on the flop, or maybe later on, the board has like three aces on it, and the dude doing all the betting says "I bet you have that ace don't you" or "who has the ace" - you do [censored].

Re: Post your favorite live tells here
If the flop is coming and I say "show me an ace", i usually don't have an ace.

Re: Post your favorite live tells here
One that I don't see people using often but holds true like 99% of the time: staring at the flop = missed it completely.
What's the bet speed one? Slow = showing weakness = strength so fast = bluff? Edit: One I use in my home game, one guy is big into army stuff, sometimes he'll look at his hand and go "roger, ten-four seargent, over". I fold if the flop has a T or a 4 and I havn't hit. |

Nobody that hits a piece of the flop wants to be caught looking at it. When they hit it immediately goes elsewhere, either to their chips, your chips, or sometimes they just stare off into space. |

Re: Post your favorite live tells here
The stupid crap people say during hands always gets them. Most mediocre players will give away a lot about their hand strength with a little bit of talk. My fav was in a home game. Blinds 100/200 and we each have 15k stacks. I have A4 in the BB, flop comes A64. SB bets 800, I pop it to 2000, He throws in another 6k. When I ask him if he has A6, he says "Something like that" then goes into a speech about "What's your kicker? Maybe if you have the Queen or Jack you can beat me" I finally fold and he wants to see and is willing to show to. I showed the A4. He showed the A6.

Re: Post your favorite live tells here
Basically much of the Caro book stuff, but these are my favorites:
* peeking at hole cards when the board 3-flushes * bet speed * staring at flop * sitting up straight/changing posture after looking at hole cards |
