Default Re: More lawsuits in the Bertuzzi case.

When someone asks for 15 million in a suit, they never actually expect to get 15mm. They start at a very high number and go down, that is not really a big deal. I think Moore deserves a large amount if he can never play in the NHL again and loses some body function. If someday soon he fully recovers then it shouldn't be nearly as much, but even then it should still be a sizeable amount.

All of the claims Moore will make for things that are not his salary, like mental suffering, emotional strain, etc, are pretty valid. Going through something like that is insanely hard, he is going to have a marathon of PT, he lost his livelyhood, lived in a hospital, etc. Just watch what Bertuzzi did, it's [censored] up.

I can't believe none of the playoff contenders has considered signing Moore just so that Bertuzzi would have to sit out if/when they played.

Doctor's won't clear him to play, so he can't be signed. If he does get an NHL contract, he'd have to drop his lawsuits, since the basic premise of them is that he can't play in the NHL again.

This is a BS lawsuit, because he already sued, and had it thrown out of court in Colorado, because the crime didn't occur there. He could have filed on his own in Ontario, since he's a resident here, but he tetstified in the previous trial he was a resident of Colorado - hence his parents inclusion. It's likely that it will all be thrown out of court except his parent's portion, and I doubt that will win on its own merits. When he loses this one, he'll try again in Vancouver.

I realize of course that he wouldn't be able to play- my brilliant scheme would only entail him sitting on the bench. I didn't know however that doctor's clearance was required to sign a contract, oh well there goes nothing.

Maybe hire Moore as an assistant coach?

An assistant coach could technically be a participant in a game. They make decisions that can have an effect on the game and game strategy is an important aspect.

YESSS!!! This deals with the (temporary) setback perfectly. Operation Steve Moores Revenge can now enter stage 2. I will now contact the Minnesota Wild and tell them of my top secret plan to guarantee playoff victory over Da Canucks for minimum monetary compensation.
