When I read 2+2 these days, I kinda feel like I did when I watched Godfather III. Pretty sad. [/ QUOTE ] Lollerskates |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I usually say this: "Imagine we are flipping coins. Heads and I win $5.25. Tails, you win $4.75. That's poker. If you can flip 2,000 times a day, it's a decent living." [/ QUOTE ] This makes absolutely no sense at all. Are you inferring that anyone can turn a profit playing poker and that they will always come out on the winning end in the end if they "flip" enough coins? Because I would say it's like this: 1% of all online players are actually making a profit while 99% are saying they are but are really not. After all, we all know everyone online is winning and there are no losers. [/ QUOTE ] LBK is going for a second straight "most consistently terrible posts" day today. Keep up the good work! [/ QUOTE ] *deleted* [/ QUOTE ] Please stop stealing lines from Jim Norton and reiterating them poorly. |

If you want to play poker for a living, play poker for a living. Stop trying to convince people in chatrooms that it's a good idea, and stop posting here about trying to convince people in chatrooms that it's a good idea. Just play poker.

All of your posts in this thread have been detrimental to all who have read them. |

OP, do you play live poker for a living or something? [/ QUOTE ] No, I play online. [ QUOTE ] When I read 2+2 these days, I kinda feel like I did when I watched Godfather III. Pretty sad. [/ QUOTE ] Sorry for posting something that came across my head? I did not say that I was trying to convince anyone to play poker for a living. It was more about me defending my choice of a career countless times. Maybe you should take your own advice and spend more time playing poker rather than posting in this thread. |

Explain it this way:
Ask if they know how casinos make money. If they don't (and most don't), forget it, they CAN'T understand. If they do know how casinos make money, tell them that's basically what you do, too. IOW, instead of banking blackjack, you're banking poker. |
