Re: All the UB and AP pros are being let go.....no more pro representation
[ QUOTE ]
Hellmuth losing $536,000 to Ivey in one night just became a hell of a lot funnier. [/ QUOTE ] Not really, he has probably the biggest BR of all tour pro's. Less than Brunson but I think more than Ivey |

[ QUOTE ] No more pro representation for UB or AP. Ya heard.....from hollaballa. [/ QUOTE ] Why would both sites drop them at the same time? They are not associated in any way are they? [/ QUOTE ] They are both owned by the same people, they will eventually merge player bases. |

Ivey is a consistent winner in the high stakes games while Phil wins a tournament every 4 years. |

The counter to ivery > Phil is that Phil probably has made more money in side ventures, but thats just the speculative concensus

What does this mean for UB? Should I be nervous about it's stability? [/ QUOTE ] I'm wondering the same thing myself. Maybe they are just doing this to prevent arrests of these people at the WSOP. That would be my guess. |

Negranu allude to the fact once that these sponsorship deals and endorsements pull in a lot less than most people think.

Re: All the UB and AP pros are being let go.....no more pro representa
Hellmuth seems like he might make more money outside of poker than Phil, but I think it stands to reason that Ivey's winnings over the past few years would be greater. He's taken down a tournament or two himself.
Thinking about the revenue that Phil made from UB or his books/dvds/whatever as "bankroll" is a stretch in the context of this conversation. Phil isn't just a "pro" for UB though, right, doesn't he own a piece of the company? |
