i really doubt it. i never made it to the front of the line but it seemed clear that people were paying full price for beer.

tonight's game was less exciting, although there were some good moments when bernie brewer used the hot dog slingshot and (twice!) hit the wires holding up the backstop. ever seen a hot dog explode in mid-air?

tonight's chant of the night came when a toddler started saying "shrunken testes" at gary matthews to imitate his dad or uncle or whoever started the taunt. there's something very amusing about hearing a four year old insult the size of someone's balls.

parking and concession lines were better, but that was probably a function of the weather and the smaller crowd that came with it rather than better planning. less interesting game, so the fans were even more distracted with the wave and such.

i also decided to bring my cubs sandals with me in lieu of shoes, so i went to the game wearing three pairs of socks and a plastic shopping bag tied around each foot. my feet still got wet and frozen. worst april ever.
