Default Re: KQo in SB against CO raise (6max)

[ QUOTE ]
If your read it is a steal than reraise if not i still think the right call is to fold.

[/ QUOTE ]
Only a large sample of hands with a low ASB will tell if it's a legitimate raise. Otherwise assume that an open-raise from the CO is a steal.

[ QUOTE ]
Position is everything.

[/ QUOTE ]
Position is important, but not so important that I'd fold KQ here.

[ QUOTE ]
I would difently call in the BB considering I already have money invested and i have a decent hand.

[/ QUOTE ]
That's the (sort of) correct play, but for the wrong reason.

Yeah...you're right, I should have posted in short-handed forum...I didn't realize 6max was considered short.

The hands you want me to add all are ahead of KQo (except JTo):

Hand 1: 54.0004 % 52.17% 01.84% { 22+, A2s+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, A2o+, KTo+, QTo+, JTo }
Hand 2: 45.9996 % 44.16% 01.84% { KQo }

If you have a read that you can steal postflop, OK...3bet. However, with little information...do you still think 3betting is the best play?

i'd add some more hands to your range. sooooted connectors and the like.

Anyhow, I want to 3 bet for a couple reasons.

1. We have a strong chance at having the best hand.
2. We get the bb out the hand. Our equity goes way down 3 way.
3. We take control of the hand.
4. We can push better hands (small pp) out of the pot on a flop with lots of overs.

1. Given what little info I have (PFR 12%/75 hands)...I'm not sure I agree. Not all players raise thin in CO. Your range is like top 30%.
2. I'm not sure this is true. Letting BB come along might increase your pot equity edge (say 1.5 SBs for a pot equity of 2.5 SB vs 2.5 SBs for a pot equity of 3.0 SB...I haven't run it yet...takes forever).
3. Absolutely...I agree (however, if I'm in the CO...I'll cap almost every time to a SB 3bet).
4. Well, I don't know this yet. I play in many games where players call me down with underpairs...even with threatening boards.
