lol @ fold cuz he has a set?

either you're chopping, he has AA, or he's a retard

taking all 3 respective hand ranges into acct, call + c/rai any turn = good

edit: actually just shove, there's barely any money behind and there's a good chance he just gives up on turn and river with less than AK

Just curious as to how you would play here if you were villain (and competent) with 77? With AK? With AA? With AQ?

actually scratch all that, i c/rai or i c/c based almost entirely on game dynamic

against a random donk i'll call all of them, against a random tag i'll probably c/rai all of them

I was referring to pre-flop more than post-flop.

villain calling with 77 is fine although very very marginal and i personally abhor it

with AK calling sucks, that should be a shove

AA calling is fine

AQ calling sucks

I agree, 55 and 77 are very marginal calls and probably slightly -EV. Flat calling with aces here is burning money, but I don't think a lot of people recognize it, so that's definitely possible.

Flat calling with AK is kinda meh, but I can see a villain doing this as well.

Bottom line is that you are playing this hand hoping for a chop at best. Of course he has some insanely retarded bluff some small percentage of the time, but stacking off to chop is not winning poker.

so on this flop you're going to cbet most of your hands and then fold to a min c/r unless you have AA or a set? that's very exploitable.

This villain in particular will call with a lot of hands he won't re-pop with, so that's what leads me to believe he has a set here quite a bit. I really don't think he has aces but it's certainly part of the range.

It's absolutely exploitable, but I just don't see this as a good flop to run a bluff and if he were to bluff, why would he min-raise and not shove?
