Jim - Why does having the A spades change things?

[/ QUOTE ]
Not having it gives him a ton of second best hands that he can call with.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah but if he does have the A spades it's most likely im beat/splitting as AA/AK/AQ are probably the only hands hes calling my 3 bet with.

Just thinking about this hand more im sure it's pretty close vs this type of oppenent as I don't think hes calling 3 bets light so his range is pretty narrow. Whether I check or bet I think he shuts down with a lot of hands im beating. However against a villian that can have a wider range here I think checking is probably a better play.

but i don't like check-fold at all because he can have a lot of semibluffs. i think i'd rather jam here because i don't want him checking behind with a draw, and he might stubbornly call with JJ-KK.

I was never planning on check folding. It's either a push or a check call /shove river.

I actually shoved in the hand hoping for a stuborn call as well. Villian folded.

Btw yeah as stated before stack sizes make the only logical bet a push.
