well since I've passed up two chances to vote thus far, and it's made zilch amount of differance thus far I think it's likely I may never vote in this lifetime anyway. So I'd do it for an ice cream cone or a trip to taco bell, but thats just because I'm playing hard ball. If you have boobs I will do it for anything out of a .25cent machine.

Does anyone out there actually value his right to vote so much that he would require >$1000 to give up that right?

Eh, this question is a bit rough. I don't vote because I think voting is very idiotic and worthless under the current system, but to totally give up the right is something I'm not necessarily willing to do.

Gonna take way more than 1k to stop me from voting in this hypothetical situation.

that's kind of the point of the question. how much to give it up forever, not knowing what political situations could potentially arise? of course in the current political climate it matters little who you vote for, as all candidates are similar.

since the electoral college is rigged, and all the candidates who have a chance to win are the same, i would sell my vote for tree fiddy.

Everyone who says 10 bucks or something... I am guessing you are saying everyones vote for the rest of their life is worth about the same? If so a very rich person could control the entire government with 1.5 billion$. I think it is pretty irrational to say that our right to vote is worth only $10... or even $1000

That said I have never voted and probably wont...

Yes. But I worked in D.C. last quarter and have a personal interest in news/politics.

I also recognize that I will be in a small minority.
