It's hard for me to imagine getting paid off on the river by a worse hand. Maybe 34s?

Dude you turned the nuts in a blind battle against someone who hates to fold, wtf are you worried about and why aren't you raising?

That's why you have to do something on the turn.

I suggest knowing something about the villains you're playing against and the situation you're in - blind vs blind. He may very well value bet worse into you on the river.

If you don't get paid by worse here by taking the lines suggested you are either a huge nit or LLL grew a fold button since I stopped playing. I doubt the second one is true.

I'm trying to figure out how to get more money in on the turn, but not be check-crying-calling half pot when the river comes 9h or 7d. If we were 100bb, it'd be an easy cr shove, but going from 100 to 650 here seems like a ridiculous overbet.

I guess I have some fundamental problems, because I don't know whether I'm trying to bet an amount he calls, or an amount he folds to. If he's got a real monster draw like 6h5h or AhTh, he might be priced in if I make it 300 to go.

My read is that he had a legitimate draw or a set. There's 6 combos of sets and about 30 combos of draws, so I have 75%-ish equity over 80% of the time. I probably should include a small number of some combos of 'air', like 76o or 45, but whatever.

This response is more inflammatory than constructive.

If I was "playing scared", it's the fact that at the table I thought I was ahead of 75% of his range, when in actuality it's probably more like 90%.

How much would you CR the turn, and why? If you have some mathematical basis, please show your work.

Let's say you knew he had Ah8h. What's the most profitable CR size? Do you want to raise just big enough to kill implied odds and make any river action (i.e. your crying call) -EV for him to call? Or do you want to raise a medium amount that he can correctly call, but you aren't pot committed when the river is a heart? Or do you want to raise a small amount, hoping to induce him to shove (minraise ftw)? Or do you shove, making him correctly fold?
