Wow I guess I suck at poker theory, I dont see how the board being double paired gives our hand any more value here?

You probably do have to call here because of the price you are getting but you arent good very often.

This is an insta-call. Getting over 5:1, you need to win one time in six. A lot of the time this is a lame bluff because he puts you on AK, and he missed his draw, or maybe even thinks a small pair is good. Seriously, what do you put this guy on, quads? Might a A7 not bet the turn after you check to him? He could have 44, but not like 85% of the time.

Folding to a tiny raise here is not a great laydown, because you're folding a lot of the time when you're ahead. It's WEAK TIGHT.
