grindingirl: The basics can be found easily in these threads or in MW's columns in cardplayer. Don't panic. Nobody has released such big secrets that cannot be overcome - as you say, you can beat such basic play, so why are you even worried?

Anyone reading this forum is not a threat to the draw circuit, much less your coaching business.

Look at the # of strategy posts in Micro Limit hold'em forum. Somehow it hasn't stopped hundreds of thousands of people from cold calling with offsuit broadway cards.

The circuit is small, and those that want to learn will. Those that want to just play will.

Have you lost your mind? Why would you guys give free lessons on here for just anyone to see? Are you aware of how small the draw circuit is?

[/ QUOTE ]

In response to grindingirl

Not really, no. We're talking newbie advise needed to play 5 dollar 5 card draw. It's no big deal, I'm probably never going to get really good at this anyhow and I mainly play at Full Tilt who doesnt offer 5CD.

I would also add that table selection is really important. At the low levels, the play is loose and weak. Make sure to raise with good hands pre-draw.

Also, if grind girl was playing with me last night, you have some holes in your game, not that I want to elucidate. Altruism is a funny thing and maybe you should lighten up a bit.

No offense to the initial poster in here however I have taught draw lessons for quite a while in which I get paid to do so, and even then I am selective about who I coach because it is such a small circuit. However the game I coach and play will never be defeated by such basic play as described here. But though it is basic again I must ask, Have you guys lost your mind?

Oh get off your high horse. This is a poker community. We do silly stuff like discuss poker.

Ditto, nothing interesting talked about here.

Hand reading and exploitation crushes the "tough" PokerStars 2/4 and 3/6 game.
