if he is not a reg, then i assume he is a weekend, donkish, casual player. this hand is close, i use that logic to push it over the line so i call. as donktastic said, he put you on AK.

Just curious, did you bet weak with the intention of getting it in? What was your plan if he called or if he re-raised to 40ish?

well my thoughts on a weak lead was that it looked just like a weak lead, I highly doubt that and unknown pushes ai with aa, maybe he does that with kk.
and interestingly enough, if he had made a normal raise my decision would have been much tuffer.

That was my initial reaction after the weak lead. Once you make that bet you have to call when he pushes. This is a well played hand.

Or, in other words, be glad that somebody botched this hand much worse than you did?

i hope your joking poker boy, there is no rules in Nl, just nits, hustlas, and losers. and the only "theorical mistake" i made was if the villian happen to have the unlikely spade draw.

Why is the spade draw unlikely- all in with a flush draw is generally what I would think of someone massivle overbetting all in on the flop like that with the flush draw out. Set or draw?
