It's enirely staged and REALLY corny. I wish they would go back to how it was in season 1 and stop doing it.
They also need to dump AJ Benza, he is lame and adds nothing to the show.

I find it funny that every week, someone doesn't understand that the dialogue between Benza and Kaplan is scripted (or at the very least, highly structured with some leeway for ad-libbing).
It's a taped television show, not a live broadcast. It's as if some people have just recently discovered the box in their living rooms with the talking people.

He had a short-lived true-crime show on E! too, if I remember correctly.
