if you're willing to get it in on a 3T3 board, why call the additional 12 bucks preflop? it can't be for set value with $100 effective stacks, right?

(if this is horribly wrong, someone please let me know, as i am just now taking frnl srsly)

[/ QUOTE ]

i assume you meant "if your not willing" and ill respond like you did. your on the right track, calling pf cant just be for set value, but that doesnt mean we should do it intending to stack off with any overpair or on any safe board. sometimes we can win the pot without showdown postflop (probably fairly often considering how likely this is to be a squeeze), sometimes we will hit a set, and sometimes we can get it in w/ an overpair but not by bet/calling very often. Given the size of DLMs flop bet i think this is a call because i cant think of any other reason for betting so small unless it was to induce a push from worse hands.

So small? Isn't this almost a half-sized pot bet?

u can call for set value if you put villian on aa kk, because of the dead money already in the pot. but i knew his range was much wider, so i was gonna see what he did on the flop to know pretty much what he had.

If you think his rr range is that tight you should just fold preflop.

On flop you are either ahead 70/30 vs AK or behind 10/90 to an overpair.

Put them together you get somthing like this (I took out JJ because I agree JJ would not give a free card, and AQ because I don't see anyone pulling this of with AQ).

Hand 1: 62.814% 62.74% 00.07% 21741 24.00 { QQ+, TT, AKs, AKo }

With a good read and the money in the pot you can call but I would expect to lose often.

palmer there is no way he has aa there. take that out of the calc. and also take out tt since hes goin to slow play it. and its an even clearer call.
