But that's not my fault. It's my responsibility to be honest with the girl. It's not my responsibility to make sure she makes the right decision for herself. Plus there's a real chance that she would rather just keep seeing me casually (despite her unrequited feelings) than be dumped.

The "I was honest, she should know better, not my responsibility" standard is at best, the lower bounds of what could be considered ethical here.

If the "plus" statement is true, then continuing the relationship is fine. Otherwise, you should weigh the slight harm in losing a fbuddy against the greater harm that the continued relationship will have on her. IMO in general you owe a duty to the people in your life to make small personal sacrifices to help them out.

i'm in this exact situation, but I told her many times how I don't think things would work out in the long haul. She replies back, "lets just live in the moment and have fun with what we have." Translation: the sex is [censored] amazing.
