Also Durron's quote without seeing the context is useless.

here is the situation:

we had a werewolf game with lots of special rules. one of them was that if you used any vowels in a post you got a penalty in the game. neil screwed up by putting an E at the end of a word and got penalized. he then had a temper tantrum in the game, announced his role and that he was quitting. he then proceeded to talk about it in our pog chatroom (once again basically outing himself and trying to break the game). i told him that i would ban him if he didn't stop talking about the werewolf game out of the game (which is the cardinal rule of werewolf), just to get him to stop talking about the game immediately, at which point i could talk to him privately to try to resolve the situation. i never actually intended to ban him.

[ QUOTE ]
This seems like a grey area. If the game was organized in POG, the mods there have some responsibility to run the games efficiently. Also, I have seen several instances of POG mods threatening to tempban for game infracctions. I dunno if this has ever been brought to the attention of the admins before, but my guess is its OK for Durron to do this, especially because its only a short ban.

[/ QUOTE ]

it's actually not ok to do this, fyi, though you could argue that intentionally trying to break a werewolf game is a bannable offense

Neil,

nobody outside of POG gives a [censored] about any of you geeks. Durron could ban all of you and we probably wouldn't care.

hope that clears things up
