Its just a matter of time until you have a 20+BI downswing, even if ur making a solid 5ptbb

I used to think this was such BS, until it happened to me. This should be stickied somewhere.

As the old-timers say, "You're always going to run worse than you ever thought possible."

My downswings are 1% bad beats, 99% tilt.

That's true - eventually you will have a 100+BI downswing if you play long enough. However, if a 20BI downswing happens to me, I think it's much more likely to be some initial bad luck which induces poor play.

I play pretty crazy and tilt pretty bad (sometimes). I had a 16BI downswing (one day) earlier this month at 1/2 NL. I think if I didn't tilt and just played crazy I would not have downswings of more than 8-10BIs.

Just try not to go 0/81 in coinflips. That should prevent downswings.

try to play something else when you seee bad beat after bad beat. I set my own personal goal for each session. Whenever I lost 3 straight big pot I'll call it quit for the session.
If it happen early I'll go play MTT or SNG to kill time. It really help to cut your lost someday.
