Re: Improving Flexibility
Pheonix - as you get older (30+) it becomes way more important to warm up just a little bit before doing your normal sporting activity. You probably already realize this.
I also have problems with tightness in my hamstrings, upper thigh, lower back. Mostly because I'm strong like a friggin ox. I went to a licensed massage therapist last week and she WORKED my lower back. It was amazing how much it improved my flexibility in my hamstrings. Now I stretch every day and hope I don't tighten up too much. |

Re: Improving Flexibility
Phoenix what up man. Hope youre still running good. I have a similiar problem in my hamstrings, Im a soccer player and I stretch daily, and they are always just beyond tight. Feels like everyday they reset back to tight no matter what i do.

Re: Improving Flexibility
Get a deep tissue massage like once a month or so. It'ill hurt like hell while you're getting an elbow rammed into your back/hips/abs/ whatever, but afterwards all the tightness will be gone. It's really amazing.

Re: Improving Flexibility
online,
It should. ART is designed to release "adhesions" in the muscle. I would imagine these inhibit flexibility a great deal as limited ROM causes some of the pain people feel around their joints. |
