Do any types of players ever fold AQ? I said nobody does.

[/ QUOTE ]

Most live players fold. No online players fold.

So you fold to a river bet with AQ? So if I posted

"Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero raises, SB calls, bb call

Flop J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checked to hero who bets, Sb call, BB c/r's, I call Sb calls

Turn Blank

BB bets, I call, SB fold

River Blank

BB Bets, I..."

You wouldn't say "as played call river"?

[/ QUOTE ]

I fold this plenty. Very read based.

I also fold AQ most of the time here. Pot protected flop c/r + turn bet after both players call + river bet after I call = you beat me way too much to call with just ace high on this board. I think the flop and turn action is the most important factor in the river play. When he bets after you both call his flop check raise, he is rarely bluffing. I don't even know about calling the turn bet there with AQ in all honesty.

Yea, I agree, i think Aq needs some of its outs discounted, and if i call the river with the AQ, its strictly because i have to read on you, and the info is worth it to me....

Yeah that's what i'm wondering.

If this guy makes it all the way to the river, won't he call 1 more?

I would think a lot of people here fold the turn. That's why i said "as played"

Sorry, but how do we know he has AQ, why can't he have a whole bunch of crappy hands that he may not call with?

Missed flush draw, 8 or a 9, something like Q-9? 7-8? I think the pot is too big to not bet, if he folds only occasionally, there should be some value there.

Folding AQ on the turn is crazy to me, I'd raise before I'd fold but usually just call down. So to your OP I'd say no, save your money and check/fold.

DD I don't know if you noticed but he isn't closing the action on the turn. I don't think it's such an easy call.

"Sorry, but how do we know he has AQ"

I honestly think he 3-bets a drawing hand on the flop, or top pair good kicker. The only other hands could be 99, AT, AK, 88 I guess but I just felt AQ.

I think DD brings up a good point and I think I like my check. By the time you've made it to the river I have missed draws enough to convince you to call.
