Why not just raise all-in? Look at his stack size after the raises.

I like the minraise (I prefer a raise to 1000) in the first hand but wouldn't do it in the second.

I feel like committing yourself without quite pushing, and making sure they are odded in on flop gets a bit wider calling range out of villain. Any thoughts on this? I seem to catch a lot of low pockets with this play.....board comes T high and they feel good and call instantly, or board comes with some paint and they feel sick calling after they realize they odded in. Keep in mind that not everyone is a regular.
