Re: miss flop c/r with set vs pfr 3-way, bad river
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Say True bets 115 and gets raised to 350, his bluff needs to work 43% of the time to show profit. If True is a thin value-better like I imagine he is, it's not hard to imagine a handrange where the portion of { Ax, two-pairs, sets and bluffs } is much higher than 43% compared to the combination of clubs in his overall range. [/ QUOTE ] Well than bet/call river. [/ QUOTE ] just because a bluff is profitable, doesn't mean he bluffs enough to give us a profitable call. |

Like WTF I've played with villain before I'm pretty sure he's not going to pull a sick river bluff raise with top pair. Very few people will do that. If villain is bluff raising a lot here than bet/call. I mean I'm saying kotkis is argument is c/c because villain will bluff raise. I don't think we are getting bluff raised here nearly often enough. |

Re: miss flop c/r with set vs pfr 3-way, bad river
I'd probably play it the same but nobody suggested a river C/R
I like a river C/R, it will rep a nuts/air hand and you never get bluffed if he shoves, but, he may be inclined to call you with a hand like QT, A4, A5. |

Re: miss flop c/r with set vs pfr 3-way, bad river
I agree with krantz. As played, I like a river bet, and make a decision if he goes all-in which is infrequently. I don't see him valuebetting too thin with this line on such a card.
