NC should beat USC but USC should cover tonight. G'town beats Vandy and it could get ugly if Vandy isn't hitting threes. Oregon should beat UNLV and laying 3 or less looks like money. Fla beats Butler but I wouldn't lay 10 the way Butler likes to slow the game down. Could look alot like the Kansas/So Ill game last nt.

My final 4 bracket is UCLA, G'town, Ohio St, and Fla. I've got G'town and Fla playing for the championship with Fla winning.

I am a huge UF fan all the way for a while now.

But because of friends out west, I root for Cal and USC to some degree. I am pretty sure this will be the hardest I root for USC ever becuase I really need UNC out of the picture thanks to my Texas Final Four pick.

Go Trojans!

Allow me to say that I hate Georgetown with a passion. And also Vanderbilt for that ridiculous doubleteam that gave up the game winner...well and also the fact they inbounded the ball 3 feet from their own out of bounds line....let's make him run the entire court in 2.1 seconds!

Bleh. I hate March.

I think this year has had some really exciting games. In general I hate basketball but this year I am really into it. The game thus far have been exciting even without an underdog to root for.

I picked Fla, tOSU, UNC and UCLA in the final four. Standard fare, but I honestly ignored ranking and went on what I felt would win.

I decided that picking all favorites is the most +EV bracket. Obviously I didn't do that because picking an awesome upset, although it is a long shot is awesome when it works out. Obviously the one guy who never watches basketball and decided to just fill out with no upsets is winning.

One year when I was a kid I set up a bracket thing for my family and extended family.

My 10 year-old sister picked all teams with her favorite animals each round.
I had to tell her what each mascot was so she could fill out her brackets.
She liked cats the most and dogs second and then birds third I think.

She won the pool and it wasn't even close.

I think it was either 1984 that had Georgetown Hoyas vs. Houston Cougars in the championship (and UK Wildcats in final 4) or 1985 that had Villanova Wildcats beat Georgetown Hoyas (and Memphis Tigers in final 4).

MicroBob,
It doesn't bother me when unknowns do well, it bothers me that this guy took me strategy which I didn't use because I didn't want to be a nit.

This year seems exceptionally favorite-heavy though. The elite 8 matchups are: 1-2, 1-2, 1-2, and 1-3. I can't remember a tournament with so much chalk.
